It's amazing how many problems there are in the world. Before even mentioning child soldiers in spanish class, I never knew about them. A few hours ago I was watching Blood Diamond. This is a great example of child soldiers. In this movie, you can witness the cruelty of having children as soldiers and how violent people are. I thought it was incredible how the children can get brainwashed and think that they will be safe being a soldier In the Blood Diamond, the little kid doesn't even remember that he has a father. He was so insecure and afraid that he just followed everyone else. They drank beer, gambled, and smoked. It was horrible seeing a child holing a...GUN. That image was just unbelievable. This is something serious. It's great that you blogged about this because that way more people are informed about the cruelty to children. And I've noticed all those red dots on your map. I will bet that people will be reading this and thinking about it. I hope someone does something. Anything, even the simplest things will eventually add up and make a difference.
